Appeal for Assistance in Building a Home
Gracy Alex and her family are in desperate need of help to build a home. Residing in the Alapuzha district, Kuttanad-Gracy is the sole breadwinner, working in a prawn factory. However, her job is seasonal, leaving her with no income during the trolling season. Her husband is mentally challenged and on medication, which keeps him sedated most of the time.
The entire family- the father, mother, and their grown-up daughter has been living in a single room, where they cook, sleep, and carry out all daily activities. They do not have a home of their own.
Gracy, relying on the promise from Panchayat authorities for funds to build a house, took a loan of ₹100,000 to purchase land. However, the Panchayat authorities have since informed her that there is a lack of funds. This has left her in a precarious financial situation, needing to pay ₹3,000 monthly as interest on the loan.
We appeal to kind-hearted individuals, organizations, and the community to help Gracy Alex and her family build a home.
