Reshma and Smitha ,( fictitious names to hide their identity) from Pathanamthitta, are two BSc nursing students. Their educational journey began together from school itself.

Reshma’s father, previously worked as a carpenter. Unfortunately, a few years ago, he underwent surgery due to a heart disease, rendering him unable to continue his profession. In light of these circumstances, her mother has recently taken up employment as a cleaner in a school to support the family.

On the other hand, Smitha’s father, serves as a helper in an Ayurvedic hospital, although his job is not consistent, with the hospital authorities calling him in sporadically. She faced the loss of her mother during her childhood and has two elder siblings who had to discontinue their studies due to financial difficulties.

Both are facing a financial hurdle to continue their education. They need to settle their fees before January 16, 2024, to obtain their hall tickets for the upcoming academic term. Reshma is required to pay Rs. 200,000, while Smitha has a fee of Rs. 100,000 to fulfill. The urgency of their situation underscores the critical need for financial assistance to ensure these aspiring nursing students can continue their education and pursue their dreams in the face of challenging circumstances.
