Dear Friends and Well-Wishers,
There are moments in life when a family’s entire future changes overnight.

This is the life story of one of our schoolmates from St. Mary’s High School, Kumpalanthanam, who once dreamed of building a small home where her family could live with dignity and peace. A few years ago, she and her husband began constructing a modest 600 sq. ft. house with great hope and sacrifice.

But life took a heartbreaking turn. After a long illness, her husband — the sole breadwinner of the family — passed away, leaving this unemployed woman alone to care for their two children, both pursuing college education. The family’s savings were exhausted on medical treatment, and the construction of their home came to a standstill. Today, the unfinished structure remains roofed but incomplete — without proper flooring, plumbing, electrical work, doors, windows, or a finished bathroom. What was once a dream home now stands as a silent reminder of a family interrupted by tragedy.

Despite her struggles, she has not given up. She works as an office assistant in a local educational institution, earning just enough to manage daily expenses and support her children’s studies. Completing the house, however, is far beyond her means. An estimated ₹5 lakhs is needed to complete the essential work and provide this family with a safe, dignified place to live. We all know her as a kind-hearted and hardworking person from our school days, and it is painful to see her facing such hardship alone. Yet, through all this, she continues to fight courageously for her children’s future.

Together, we can help complete this home and restore hope to a mother who has already endured so much.
