I have been the sole breadwinner for my family, working in a construction company. However, my health has severely deteriorated over the past few years. I was diagnosed with Hepatitis B, which forced me to leave my job temporarily, but after six months of treatment, I recovered and resumed work. Unfortunately, in 2016, I suffered a heart attack and was admitted to Pushpagiri Medical College. During that period, I also had a stroke, and subsequent medical investigations revealed kidney problems. I have been undergoing treatment at Vellore CMC and have been on medication since then.
In 2021, my health worsened as I developed breathing problems, and further tests showed that my creatinine level had escalated to 24. This resulted in me having to undergo dialysis three times a week. Given my age and deteriorating condition, my doctors have recommended a kidney transplant as a more sustainable solution than continuing dialysis.
The estimated cost of the transplant is approximately ₹15,00,000, which includes the procedure, post-surgery care, and medication. As the only earning member of my family, I am facing significant financial hardship. I also support my elderly father and my son, who is still studying, making it extremely difficult for me to gather the required funds for this life-saving procedure.
